By entering GoMAD you are indicating you have read, agree with and will abide by the Terms & Conditions.
The GoMAD Group of partners consists of ROC (Redeeming Our Communities; Urban Saints and the CPA (Christian Police Association).
GoMAD (or any of its continent organisations: Redeeming Our Communities, Urban Saints or The Christian Police Association) accepts no legal reasonability or liability for any of the projects being run during the GoMad competition.
The Group Leader is responsible for:
- collecting parent / guardian information
- obtaining parental / guardian consent for each Group Member
- ensuring your local Safeguarding policy is applied
- ensuring that the group has sufficient leaders to young people ratios
- ensuring your group is covered by Public Liability Insurance
- conducting Risk Assessments on Group activity
- ensuring that the project is run according to current, local laws.
Group Leaders must be over 18 years of age on 1st May 2017.
Group Leaders must have a current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) Certificate.
Group Leaders may only be involved with one GoMAD entry at any one time
It is a condition of entry that all submissions including text, photos and videos are provided for the use of GoMAD and the partner organisations and may be used at their discretion.
GoMAD Groups must be registered via the GoMAD.Group website before commencing their community action.
GoMAD community action can only take place from 00:01hrs 1st May 2017 and should conclude by 23:59hrs 1st September 2017
Groups will report on their project by video which must be filmed on a smartphone, last no more than 4 minutes and be uploaded no later than 23:59 1st September 2017
The submitted video must be accompanied by an endorsement from a police officer or other acceptable community professional indicating the impact made by the Group in the local community.
Regional Finals may be held at the discretion of the organisers if there is sufficient demand.
National Judges will consider all submitted videos (and team updates received) and consider which project has “Made the biggest impact in their local community”.
The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Finalists will be notified via the website on Tuesday 18th September.
Additional categories of winner may be awarded at the discretion of the Judges.
All prizes are subject to change.
Groups who reach the final are expected to be present at the National Awards Afternoon at The FUSE, Manchester, M31 4BU on Saturday 21st October 2017.
Groups who reach the final and/or win any awards agree to cooperate in producing publicity photos and videos.
Release & waiver of content
By submitting your entry you irrevocably give ROC and its partners the right and permission to use, copy, alter, distribute, publish, broadcast, and display the Video that you have submitted; photographs, articles and images that you have provided and other information and material included in your Entry Application on www.gomad.group, elsewhere on the Internet, in advertising and promotional materials, and in any other medium or format for any purpose related to the GoMAD campaign.
You acknowledge and agree that ROC may post the Video on the Internet and allow the public to vote and comment on the material.
You agree to waive any right to royalties or other payment for the use of your Video and you also waive the right to inspect or approve ROC’s use of the Video and other materials that ROC may use with them.
You attest that there is no copyrighted material in your Video or other submitted content.
You release and waive and agree to hold ROC and its partners harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from their use of the Video or articles submitted and you agree not to bring any such claims against the released parties at any time in the future. This includes, but is not limited to, claims for violation of publicity rights and privacy rights, claims based on moral rights, claims for intrusion, claims for defamation, claims for fraud, claims for infliction of emotional distress, and claims for copyright or other intellectual property infringement, whether those claims may be based on statutes or the common law.
You represent and warrant to ROC that:
The Article, Image or Video is your original work.
You have the full right and authority to execute this Release and Waiver as part of the terms and conditions.
You have all rights necessary to grant the rights, waivers, and releases granted in these terms and conditions.
You have read this Release and Waiver section of the terms and conditions and you fully understand it.
All statements and information included in your Entry Application and any other statements and information that you provided to or will provide to ROC are true and complete.
